Activation
🔹 Unlike Vodafone Spain, once the QR code is received you must manually add the phone number, PIN, and PUK to the QR code file before sending it to the customer.
Step 1 – Locate the Customer Activation Request

Open the Activation Portal.

Find the customer’s activation request.

Check “Additional Notes” for any customer-specific requests.
💡 Example: Special instructions for start date or plan.
Step 2 – Search the Order in Airtable

Search for the order in Airtable.

On the first line, check:
- Customer notes
- Internal notes
- Cancellations or refunds
⚠️ Do not proceed if the order is cancelled or refunded.
Step 3 – Confirm SIM Type & Create Activation Line in Airtable
- On the second line in Airtable, confirm the SIM Type is Orange Spain eSIM Activation.
- Scroll to the eSIM Activation section and click Add Order – a new line will appear.
- Click into the line and check:
- Line Item – Product name
- Option – Variant purchased
- Activation Plan – e.g., Orange Spain eSIM
Step 4 – Fill in Activation Information in Airtable
Fill in the Activation Information section:
- Activate Date = Arrival Date (must match)
- Days = Always
28(unless otherwise noted for the product) - Activation Status =
Submitted - Activation Pending(after HOMSIM submission) - Email Address = Customer’s email
- APN Details = Ensure correct values
Step 5 – Submit in HOMSIM Portal
- Sign in to HOMSIM Portal.
- Click New Activation.
- Select the relevant Orange Spain plan.
- Enter the customer’s passport information.
- For email, enter
hello@globalstarlink.com.au(QR code will be sent here). - Click Save/Submit.
Step 6 – Update Airtable & Notify Customer
- After submission, the request will appear in at the top of the list of activations.
- Email the customer using the standard Activation Processed template.
- In Airtable:
- Processed =
Submitted - Pending for Activation - Add note:
Awaiting QR Code [Customer’s Arrival Date]
- Processed =
Step 7 – Receive QR Code & Add Required Details

On the customer’s arrival date (~7 AM Spain time), QR code arrives via email from Orange.

The Orange email also includes:
- Phone Number
- PIN
- PUK

Open the QR code file and add the phone number, PIN, and PUK to the QR code image or PDF.

Save the updated file.
Step 8 – Send Updated QR Code & Complete Airtable
- Send the updated QR code file to the customer.
- In Airtable:
- Add ICCID
- Attach updated QR code
- Update Confirmation Email Status =
