🇬🇧 UK & Europe

General Information

Europe is a region in the northern hemisphere and consists of a diverse range of countries. The European Union (EU) is a political and economic union of 27 European countries that have chosen to work closely together. These 27 countries are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden.

Each European carrier has different country inclusions. All cover most EU countries, but coverage for both EU and non-EU countries varies.

Europe & UK SIM Cards typically consist of two data components:

  • Local Data: The data amount included for the country the carrier is from.
  • Roaming Data: The data amount which can be used in EU countries and some countries outside the EU.

Three UK

  • 50GB & 75GB (activation by us/preloaded).
  • Previously 25GB (activation by us) and 10GB, 16GB, 30GB & 50GB (self-activation/preloaded/plug and play).
  • SIM cards are physical only.
  • UK Phone Number (via Welcome text)
  • English Carrier.
Plan Details:
  • Unlimited calls and text within the UK and EU (no calls from UK to EU countries).
  • Data roaming limited to 12GB in a 30-day period.
  • Customers can top up on the Three UK website (but Roaming limit applies).
Important Notes:
  • SIMs listed under various countries (e.g. Singapore, Hong Kong).
  • Data only outside the UK & EU.
  • Alternative solutions for making international calls (WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Facetime, Instagram, Skype).

Vodafone ES and Movistar ES

  • Vodafone: 160GB (16GB Roaming)/190GB (22GB Roaming)
  • Movistar: 40GB (6GB Roaming)/80GB (8GB Roaming)/140GB (11GB Roaming)
  • Prepaid physical SIM cards (Vodafone has eSIM options available, however, not currently online).
  • Spanish phone number (via Welcome text)
  • Spanish carriers
Plan Details:
  • Vodafone: Unlimited calls in Spain and Romania, no calls within UK & EU
  • Movistar: Unlimited calls in Spain, and selected plans include limited UK & EU calls
  • No text included
Important Notes:
  • Welcome messages in Spanish.
  • Vodafone covers Turkey and Switzerland.
  • SIMs are single-use, not rechargeable.
  • PIN required for each use; lost PIN means the SIM cannot be used.

Orange France

  • 8GB & 20GB (currently only 20GB available)
  • SIM cards are physical only.
Plan Details:
  • Unlimited calls and text within the UK and EU.
  • 120 mins calls and 1000 texts from Europe to worldwide.
  • Customers can top up via the Orange France website.
Important Notes:
  • Welcome messages in English.
  • Easy activation (self-activation), no ID required unless the customer registers via the Orange France website.
  • Valid for 14 days and higher price compared to others.

Orange Spain eSIMs

  • Holiday: 30GB for 15 days (60GB Spain)
  • Coverage: EU, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein.
  • Mundo: 22GB for 28 Days (100GB Spain)
  • Coverage: EU, Norway, Liechtenstein.
  • Physical SIM cards available but currently only for Wholesale customers.
  • Spanish Phone Number (via Welcome text)
Plan Details:
  • Holiday: 100 minutes calls within EU.
  • Mundo: 50 minutes calls within EU.
  • No text included.
Important Notes:
  • UK is not included in the roaming countries list.
  • Welcome messages in Spanish.
  • Part of the same company as Orange France, but Orange Spain operates as a carrier based in Spain.
  • Provides multilingual customer service for international customers.

Three Austria eSIMs

  • Option 1 (Europe or Turkey): 10GB, 20GB or 30GB for 30 Days
  • Option 2 (Europe or Turkey): 1GB per day for 7, 15 or 30 Days of Service
Plan Details:
  • For 1GB per day option, data for the new day is refreshed every day at 00:00:00 UTC+8
Important Notes:
  • Coverage: 33 EU & non-EU countries (including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, United Kingdom).
  • Data only eSIM (no phone number).
  • Hotspotting/tethering included.
  • Alternative solutions for making international calls (WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Facetime, Instagram, Skype).

Bouygues Telecom

  • 30GB or 60GB for 30 Days
  • Coverage: EU, UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway.
  • Physical SIM cards available but currently only selling eSIMs.
  • French Phone Number (via Welcome text)
Plan Details:
  • Calls & Text: Unlimited calls and text within EU.
  • International Credit: 25€ credit for Europe to Worldwide
Important Notes:
  • Welcome messages in French & English.
  • Hotspotting/tethering included.
  • eSIM can be installed before customer arrives at their destination.

EE UK

  • 50GB (25GB Standard + 25GB Bonus Data)
  • SIM cards are physical only
  • UK Phone Number (available on the packaging)
  • English Carrier
  • UK ONLY
Plan Details:
  • Unlimited calls and text within the UK.
  • Customers can top up via the EE UK website or EE App.
